What is fair work?

Fair work is work that offers effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment and respect. It balances the rights and responsibilities of employers and workers. It generates benefits for individuals, organisations and society. 

The Fair Work Convention is independent of Government and brings together employers and unions with academic expertise to:

  • advise Ministers on fair work
  • advocate and promote fair work
